Our Mission
Onyxx Village Connection (OVC) restores the dignity of underserved individuals and families in East Palo Alto and surrounding communities, building consistent personal connections with love. OVC helps the whole person nurture their mind, body and soul by delivering meals, resources and compassion through mobile outreach and partnerships.

Early Logo Designs
My design for the logo is based off a heart-shaped pot from the top-down with Alphabet Soup letters forming an acronym of Onyxx Village Connections. I integrated the kente cloth as a placemat for the pot.
The logo should feel like a welcoming pot of food served for the community.
Design Revisions
After conducting multiple phase feedbacks & revisions. I’ve changed my direction for the logo to incorporate more options of food as an icon. I experimented with the chicken drumstick, bowl of rice & revisiting the previous ideas involving use the hands. I would still include my custom kente cloth texture as the organization favored my kente design.
The Sankofa Heart
For my final revisions, the client had decided that the best direction of the logo will include a Sankofa Heart with the kente cloth pattern & utensils to represent that the logo is an organization involving the community and food.
Final Design
This non-profit organization is one of the two programs who chose my logo to represent them. I am very honored that my logo will be used for a great cause and for the community!
